A New Year! A New Diary!

BLOG_A New Year5

A new year! You know what that means? It means I can buy a new diary! What a coup for a stationary-aholic!

This year I decided to purchase my diary online, after an hour of wandering between stationary and department stores.

Here are the gorgeous diaries that were in my top five:

This diary combines two of my favourite things – Japan and Deutsche. Huh? These Japanese made diaries seem to have a few language options, including this version which translates as: A HISTORY ONE LIVES. Ummm… O.K… I still WANT ONE! It is available from Notemaker.

Kikki K

Oh how I love the WHIMSICAL. This sweet design features mushrooms, flowers, cherries AND strawberries on the cover and an array of even sweeter illustrations throughout its pages. Just look at that TEAPOT! It is available from Kikki K.

My Handbound Books

I was never NOT going to look on etsy. I ADORE this leather planner that has been handmade by a bookbinder in Canada. On a side note – I think BOOK BINDER is the coolest job title EVER. It is available from Etsy.

Again with the WHIMSICAL. This is another find on etsy. It is actually a linen cover for any book, featuring a matroyshka doll on the front, which are those beautiful nesting dolls from Russia. It is available from Etsy.

BUT after all of that searching, I ended up purchasing a Moleskine. The same colour (black), the same cover (soft) and the same layout (weekly) as I did last year and the year before. It seems I am a creature of habit. I also love that their products are modelled on the notebooks used by the likes of Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemmingway and Bruce Chatwin. It was Chatwin who dubbed it ‘Moleskine’. Find an online stockist through Moleskine.

I have also posted these and other gorgeous diaries to my Pinterest.

HAPPY 2013!
